Home insurance in a nutshell

Home insurance helps cover the cost if something happens to your home or belongings. You pay us a premium so if something goes wrong, we can help put it right if your claim is covered. Our policy documents tell you more about what is and isn't covered. Keep in mind that with all of our cover, there are limits, terms and exclusions.

Buildings insurance

If you're thinking of taking out a policy with us, here are some details about our Buildings insurance cover and limits.

Buildings insurance covers you if something happens to the structure of your home. For example, if there's a fire.

Home Insurance Essentials covers the buildings of your home up to £550,000 but not things that aren't attached. Like a detached garage or shed. To include these, you need to add outbuildings cover. Accidental damage isn't covered but you can add this if you want to.

Or you can choose Home Insurance Plus. This covers the buildings of your home and its outbuildings up to £1 million. Accidental damage is covered too.
